Sourland Coffee in Pennington

First visit - I was wet and freezing cold, and it was so toasty and warm inside Sourland Coffee. I further warmed myself with a chai latte and it was perfect. I asked for extra spices. It was warm, sweet and flavorful, and not too hot, and I drank it way more quickly than usual. It really hit the spot. I hope to try their coffee someday but have to avoid coffee for the time being. Friendly and accommodating service, pleasant atmosphere with live music - a guitar duo. Nice! 👍

Tasty coffee, sweet staff. Rich brews. Decor minimalistic. Seating uncomfortable and not very inviting to 'stay a while.' Pricing does not reflect that 'to stay' coffee should be cheaper than 'to go' with disposable cups. 2nd cup just as expensive as 1st cup (no refill discount)Free WiFi a plus but overall not a place that encourages people to stay and get comfortable.

Excellent coffee, friendly staff, a place you just want to sit and enjoy. It has an upscale farm/urban feel, but not too urban. We are coffee crazy and frequent Rojo's, Small World, and Café Vienna and found that this little best kept secret it truly a gem and it won't be a secret for long! Highly recommend.

The coffee was delicious and the chocolate coissant very yummy. There's not much atmosphere, though, and the hard metal chairs are low and not particularly comfortable.

Clean, bright and spacious with a good selection of coffee house staples (including flat whites, huzzah). A great place to meet others to chat over something warm to drink!

Cool concept for a coffee house. They sell interesting foreign coffee and have a decent pastry collection. Lacks comfy seating of the kind I could curl and read a book in, but a small quibble. Definitely worth checking out

Cute little coffee shop. It has a growing selection of artisanal coffees, as well as sandwiches from the neighborhood. And it is great for studying - big tables, quiet environment, and no crowds.

Good coffee, a bit pricey

Yummy coffee, cool calm vibe with lots of sunlight (unlike dark and dim Starbucks), friendly staff, extremely easy to get to by car bike or foot, always super duper clean - and they play my favorite music too! This is my favorite place in the world to sit and get some work done. So happy they opened and seem to be doing well. Only wish they were open longer hours so I could come in the evening and Sunday afternoons too!

Interesting vibe...has an artisan feel...I thought my coffee was a little pricey but I think it’s like getting an expensive specialty cocktail. I went on a slow weekday morning but I imagine it would be very cool at night.

Today in an AM mom frenzy, I drove my kid to school, myself to the coffee shop and ordered a drink... before realizing that I'd used a different bag yesterday and left my wallet in it. The kind staff let me have the Americano anyway.

Pennington, NJ is a small town by almost any standard. But right in the middle of it is a world-class coffee shop. John, the owner, not only sources the best single-origin coffees but he is a master at brewing with incredible attention to detail and understanding of how to draw out the notes unique to each roast. Bambi, the lead barista, is exceptionally knowledgable and friendly and the rest of the staff is welcoming as well! I am so grateful that John runs this wonderful shop with such craftsmanship and joy right in the middle of this sleepy little town.

This place has the best roasts around. Friendly staff and a big room with plenty of chairs and tables in case you want to stay and get some work done or just relax.

They serve LA Colombe coffee which I think is probably the best I had. I also think of myself as a coffee snob. They offer coffee from different regions and taste profiles so you won't get bored. The cinnamon rolls keep you hooked.
